Grand Beach Weddings

Meet your love on white sand with a warm breeze stirring the air — and a Fijian celebration you'll never forget.

A Day to Remember

Married on the shores of the Blue Lagoon

Imagine celebrating your special day in an exotic tropical setting — meeting your loved one on a white sandy beach with a warm breeze stirring the air. On Turtle Island, weddings and vow renewals are genuine events, and some of our guests' fondest memories are of the Fijian wedding ceremonies held at sunset on the shores of the famous Blue Lagoon.

The bride and groom may dress in traditional Fijian wedding attire, made especially for them by the Turtle Island staff, while every guest wears a garland of fresh, fragrant flowers. The trumpeting of conch shells announces the bride's arrival aboard a wedding raft called a "bilibili." Drums beat ceremonial rhythms as two Fijian attendants escort her to her groom, heralded by a Fijian choir.

After the ceremony, everyone takes part in a Kava ceremony in honor of the couple, who are then carried on the bilibili to the wedding feast. And Turtle weddings aren't only for newlyweds — they are a beautiful way to renew your vows, with the staff making every preparation, from the wedding clothes to the feast itself.
